Armor that actually looks useful!

The armor and weapon design is sweet. The armor coming up that high reminds me of a bug's segmented type exoskeleton. I like it, it looks unique.

Ohh, not finished yet. First off, I doubt you've done too much on the background, but nothing in it's too well defined, and at this stage I can't even tell what kind of ground type you're doing. Everything's really blurred and unfinished. I'm sure you'll do work on it later though, adding more definition and objects to the back. As for your actual character now, she looks almost done. Some things still look like they're missing, like she doesn't look like she has a left forearm yet and her finger on her right hand looks kinda overlooked, and assuming you're gonna try and be semmetrical the cloth under her left pauldron and her left elbow plate. Certain parts don't look as defined as they should be and all around it just looks unfinished. I'm sure you already know all that stuff though, that's just me trying to show my attention to detail.

From what I can see that is finished though, the thing that particularly stands out is the sword hilt is unusually well defined from what I typically see from you. That metal design you have spiralling is kinda wierd too. You kinda add more of those at the top and then have them extent onto hilt guard where they swing around it and it doesn't seem consistent. You can also kinda see the tree through the blade, and at first I thought it was a reflection effect, and a really good one at that, but then it matched up too well with the background. If you could make a reflection effect on the sword that looks like that but doesn't match up with the background it would be an amazing visual effect for your picture. I would say armor too but it looks kinda dull to be putting that kind of reflective effect on them. You could still do a shadow effect though. I'm sure that would be a bit challenging but it would look really good. Most everything else looks fine as far as I can tell. Just one last thing though, my own personal opinion, I think the armor protecting from her crotch to midsection goes too high. I mean it won't effect the quality of your work if you shorten it, it's just one of those what I would do sort of thing. It's coming along pretty good so far though, would love to see the finished product.
